Fall 2024
- Congrats to Dr. Theresa Erlenbach, who defended in Spring 2024! Theresa is now a postdoctoral fellow at the Greenwood Genetics Center, where she studying human clinical genomics.
- Congrats to Cameron Seitz, who this past fall transitioned from research tech to ILS grad student to Genetics grad student in our lab! We are so excited to welcome her back.
- Congrats to undergrads Matthew, Hannah, and Claire, who all graduated this Fall semester.
- Kelly was selected as a 2024-2025 Women's Faculty Leadership Fellow.
Summer 2023
- Congrats to Dr. Andrew Duitsman! Andrew is now an Assistant Profesor of Biology at Piedmont University.
- Congrats to Theresa Erlenbach, who received the Alton Fellowship for excellence in research from the UGA Department of Genetics. This is a top honor in our department.
- Izzy, Adam, and Abby all graduated, and we are excited for them as they move on to new positions. Izzy and Adam will be research technicians with Tania Rozario and Katie Billmyre, respectively, and Abby will pursue a career in marine biology.
- Kelly became the Director of the Integrated Life Sciences program, and took off her Genetics Graduate Coordinator hat.
Summer 2022
- Congrats to Dr. Paul Ginsberg! Paul is heading to the University of Kansas, where he will be a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Center for Genomics. He'll be working with Rob Unckless and Justin Blumenstiel.
- Congrats to Theresa Erlenbach, who received a Bishop Award for excellence in research from the UGA Department of Genetics.
- We enjoyed having Madeline Sheppard from Eckerd College in our lab this the summer. Madeline participated in the (Summer Undergraduate Fellowships in Genetics (SUNFIG)) program.
- We enjoyed having Shalese Jordan from University of Pennslyvania in our lab this the summer. Shalese participated in the (Summer Undergraduate Fellowships in Genetics (SUNFIG)) program.
